Enlarging Your Penis With Surgery
Over the past few years the numbers of men having penis enlargement surgery has greatly increased. But having such surgery does have drawbacks so make sure you know what's involved before you decide to opt for this form of enlargement.
The most common form of penis enlargement surgery is to make the flaccid penis seem larger. This is done by cutting the penis suspensory ligaments that hold the penis in place. By cutting them the penis will effectively drop down making it look bigger. Plastic surgery is then used to provide additional skin to cover the extra length. For the next few months weights or stretching devices are used to ensure you keep the additional length. This type of surgery has no impact on the size of the erect penis.
As yet there are no definitive figures as to how much of an increase this procedure produces but a figure of around 1.6cm (0.75in) seems to be about average. Undoubtedly some men see a greater increase but others will be disappointed with the results.
Another problem with this procedure is that the erect penis can point downwards as cutting the ligaments removes support for the penis.
Another form of penis enlargement surgery is dermal implant. With this the girth or length or both are increased by implanting fat under the skin. This can be done with an injection of liposuctioned fat or by grafting a layer of tissue and fat from the groin or buttock into the penile shaft.
The liposuction method seems the least successful as it has a tendency to move around or disappear. This can make the penis look lumpy. The grafting procedure seems to be more stable.
Remember as the head of the penis can not be enlarged enlarging just the shaft can make you penis look somewhat strange.
All surgery involves risks and for penis enlargement surgery this can mean permanent damage to or disfiguration of the penis. It's thought about a third of men requesting surgery have normal sized penises so make sure you're doing it for the right reason and that you're expectations are realistic. If you think that having a larger penis will make you better in bed then you're going to be disappointed.
